Filling in Numbers is Not Considered Love

I'm a paint by number canvas and you're the wrong color paint. You can still complete me, but I look nothing like I am supposed to in the end.

It's really about what went unsaid

Sometimes silence speaks louder than words and right now I feel like you are screaming at me...

Shallow Boxes Can't Hold Hope

I have a box that's filled with you;
your thoughts of me, words of adoration and love for me,
and compliments all tucked snug inside.

It was supposed to be a comfort and a constant reminder of why we are together
but now that the drowsy haze of "love" is settling,
I am noticing how small that box really is.

How shallow has this relationship been and why am I just now noticing?

Day One

Today is the first day I'm not talking to you.
I already feel lost and I can't help but wonder if you feel lost too.

Probably not though, you didn't seem to care that my hurt was deep,
or that I was being completely serious when I said that our love was falling asleep.

There wasn't the slightest promise of change in your voice;
no signs of remorse for the actions of your choice.

And still tomorrow will be day two,
of this hard and lonely journey away from you.
